Loved it! The story line carries throught the game. Some of the graphics may appear to be elementry, but that is deceiving. The puzzles are challenging, even for the experienced. The background music isn't earth shattering. Throw caustion to the wind; this is only one of a few games that I would pay to play again and again. I would highly recommend this game for all levels. The hint process is helpful for the novice and you don't have to use it. I bought the latest game in the series knowing that the last (or first) installment was deamed by some to be too short. I don't care; it is that good of a story.
You start with the choice of difficulty level: Casual (with tutorial) or Experienced (without tutorial). I chose Experienced. Options include Music, Sound Effects, Brightness (oh, YES!!), Full Screen, Aspect Ratio (stretch to fit the screen, where applicable) and Custom Cursor. There is also a Reset to Default button in case you want to change it back to the way it was when you opened the game. The Extras button on the main menu will take you to the pages where you can buy the games (Drawn: The Painted Tower; Drawn: Dark Flight), the Credits and/or the Forums. HINTS are "tiered" and refillable. Click for a hint, get a general idea of what you should be doing; click again and get more specific instructions. Basically, the hints walk you through what you need to know. I like that the game's toolbar disappears unless you mouse-over it. It's so nice to be able to see all of the artwork and not have it cut off. Dark Flight takes up right where The Painted Tower left off. I highly recommend playing the first Drawn game before you play Dark Flight, but the game creators have added enough story that you won't be totally perplexed if you didn't play Painted Tower first. The Drawn games are story-driven adventures, so if you don't like stories in your games, these probably aren't for you. The music, the gameplay, the voices... even the scenery is very similar. We visit some familiar locations, but from different angles - beautifully done, devs This was an absolute must-buy for me after only 10 minutes of the demo. It was enough for me to know that this game has the same high production values as the first Drawn game. There is just one more thing I'd like to mention: When you exit the game, you are automatically taken into a video-preview of Dark Flight. It is beautifully done, majestic and thrilling... except that you will see it every time you exit the game. Or NOT! I thought I saw someone griping about this, but it's easily skipped - just hit the ESC key! My only
Most sequels don't compare to the first story, this is one of those wonderful rare exceptions! It picks up right were the first left off and the storyline is just as captivating. The graphics are even better and the music is appropriate to each scene. THe cut scenes are beyond amazing! There isn't a "hint" button in the traditional sense, it's got something better: Franklin, you can ask him for advice(hints) as often as you like with no penalty or recharge time. There are 2 levels of play to choose from which is nice. I am heading to the third game in the series with high hopes, I'm sure I won't be disappointed!
makes you want more, these games always get you going then they end. But this game is excellent in every way. I love the graphics, The only thing I didn't like was going back and forth so much but I still rate it one of my best games. Hope you make more. I have all three.
The entire Drawn series has a fantastic story, and the graphics are beautiful so no complaints there. At times, it can be a bit difficult to figure out where to go/what to do next but with a bit of persistence things fell into place. The gameplay is a bit different from other games you can find on BFG and that is much appreciated. This is a worthy sequel to the original, Drawn: The Painted Tower.
The Drawn series is one of my favorite HOS series on the market. The soundtracks are lovely, the art style is gorgeous, and the storylines really kept me hooked! The puzzles are challenging enough to be interesting but not so much so that any are impossible to solve. Even the voice acting was tailored to the characters, which is something I definitely can't say about all of the HOS games out there--and trust me, after you've played a bunch of HOS games, you really appreciate the little details that the design team includes for you. For me (on a Windows 7 Home), all 3 games were completely glitch-free and ran like a charm. Highly, highly recommended.
Like the first game, this game did take me approximately 6-7 hours to finish, but it was not without it's challanges. Some puzzles took me awhile to figure out and I did have to use Franklin to help me when I so stuck that it was frustrating. I would not complain too much about the length of the game being too short like some of the other reviews because most of Big Fish's games are known to be similar in length of approzimately 6-8 hours gameplay time for me. What I look for is how good the story is, how challenging the puzzles are, and how well dawn the graphics are, which this game did a rather good job doing.
Awesome story line! The visuals are great! You really get drawn into this game and get into character!
Drawn: Dark Flight is the sequel to Drawn: The Painted Tower. The storyline picks up where the last one left off, where you are helping Iris to light the beacons to her kingdom to defeat the evil usurper king. This is a quality adventure game. The graphics are beautifully done, and the puzzles are challenging. The music is beautiful. The sensory quality of this game is just great. My only complaint is I would have liked to have had a map, because I got lost a few times. But, if you like adventure games, this one is definitely worth a look.
Excellent story, and mind boggling puzzles. They need more
