Beautiful graphics Fun To Play Love it !!

Mindless entertainment

when I really dont want a challenge and enjoy beautiful graphics this fits the bill. I found that the game does not download properly and some games dont work correctly, But there are ways around that and if I felt it would enhance the game I probably would insist on getting it to work perfectly. Still I have enjoyed playing it or should I say I enjoyed the graphics.

No hint button in this game

The only thing I enjoyed about this game was the prologue which gave some interesting snippets of history about the gardens. The music suited the subject of the game but wasn't my cup of tea. There is only one mode of gameplay so sparkles abound & it does play widescreen. The graphics were ok but the artwork was blurry & not always well drawn, it was often difficult to make out an item. There was nothing clear or easily seen & sometimes there was more than one item of the same type in a hidden object scene. For instance, why were there 3 necklaces when only one was required? There was no hint button. You earn points as you locate objects but if you click on an incorrect item 3 times you will lose 10 points. After playing for an hour & finding H0 scenes that were just junkpiles I lost the will to want to play any longer.

so much promise followed by ... disappointment

this game transports you back to ancient Babylon in 605 BC. the king, Nebuchadnezzar II and his armies have left to fight a war, leaving the queen, Amytis (whose role you assume in this game) in charge of the city. according to the game developers, an invasion of this vulnerable city is brewing, and only the queen -- you -- can thwart this invasion and protect the city and its inhabitants. graphics: the opening cutscene artwork is gorgeous; detailed, rich, colourful and interesting. all cutscenes after the introduction are static. the hidden objects scenes are numerous but static. unfortunately, HO scenes are filled with random piles of junk, much of which is not period-appropriate (high heeled shoes in ancient Babylon??). some of the items you must find are tiny or blurry, adding to the challenge. there are few puzzles, included almost as an afterthought, and with poorly explained goals -- the biggest challenge these puzzles provide are trying to understand what you are expected to do. scene transitions are static and all dialogue is scripted. the font is difficult to read unless you are playing this game in a darkened room. music and sound effects: although it is repetitious, the music is alright as background sound. minimal sound effects and no voiceovers. nothing remarkable here. storyline: the developers claim there is story in this game, but i was absolutely unable to identify what that story might be. gameplay: there is no tutorial, and there is just one level of play. hints recharge fairly quickly, and puzzles can be skipped. each hidden item collected gives you 10 points but there is an overclick penalty (you lose 10 points). no journal, although a map is provided after you complete several HO scenes. scenes load quickly and there are no cursor freezes. my interaction: one hour demo. i?ve no intention to purchase this game. overall, i have a very mixed opinion of this game. on one hand, the art and historical notes suggest lots of potential, but on the other han

Meh.

This HOG was only OK. There wasn't much of a challenge, and I really didn't care for the story line (the cut scenes took way to long to go through!). I got bored really quickly.

Luscious game, but oh so disappointing.

The graphics and theme of this game are simply stellar. The music as well is unique and so enjoyable that I'd happily listen to it on a soundtrack. It's such a pity the rest of the game can't keep up with these pluses. The HOG parts are inscrutable--the hint button is all right but the game docks points for mis-clicking, and the problem is that a lot of stuff looks "almost" right so I lost a lot of points that way and got scared to click ANYTHING, only to find out via the hint button that no, actually that was what I needed to click. Otherwise the HOG are thematically appropriate; you won't find modern objects in the ancient-world paintings and rooms contain stuff you think they should. The mini-games it uses are either mind-bogglingly dull, like one they use a lot where you must trace figures with your mouse, or else they are completely inscrutable, like the other constantly-abused one that demands you put gems in their correct place; I never did figure out how that worked and just skipped it every time. The gem mini-game alone would make me refuse to buy this game; apparently nobody playtested this game before it got released, or its completely useless hint function (a central gem that glows green when a gem is placed correctly--but doesn't tell you which gem that might be out of two that you're manipulating) would have become apparent. The mini-games could have been removed entirely and not only would they not impact game enjoyment negatively, their deletion would greatly increase it. The storyline itself is fascinating and I suspect historically sound. I loved the cutscenes and admired the art at every opportunity; the Hanging Gardens themselves are lovingly and lushly recreated, as was the city. Alas, the game offers very little direction in the way of what route you're supposed to take, so what should be a captivating stroll through another world was maddening and aggravating. When I saw the magnificent introduction to this game I really thought it was going to be one of my favo

Boring..........

One word will tell it all....very grainy/poor graphics which makes this game impossible to play. Shame on Big Fish...always expect better. For you Big Fishies out their please do not waste your money.

Just awful

I was able to play this game for 15 minutes before deleting. It was just blindingly awful.

Very Unsatisfied

Not sure what to say but just awful all the way around.
