I loved it. The birdy is cute, the music made my feet dance underneath the desk. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what I needed to do (click and drag the birdy until you have found the best possible angle to catch the stars, land on the next wire, avoid anything dangerous and for Heavens sake do this correctly or the little birdy end up dead). Sadly, exactly THIS action ("click", "drag", "position" and "hold" before letting go) is where I found a big problem for me and that is: IT HURTS! :-( I played only 15 minutes and had to stop as I thought I might suffer a cramp in my lower arm. Especially when I didn't want to rush things and catch all the stars, which requires some observation and thinking. However...this game is such fun that I laugh into the face of pain and buy it nevertheless. I'm planning to kick start my days with a couple of levels, as this game is one that makes the sun shine on the rainiest of days :-). So I really do recommend this fun game for young and old.
I own many, many games but this game is VERY unusual, the first of its kind I have seen from Big Fish. You sort of lasso stars, after you've aimed properly and avoided dangerous obstacles which attempt to foil your efforts. Excellent timing, good aim, as well as clever choices can help to complete a level with three stars (the highest). Great that it lets you skip a level and move on (within boundaries), if you're stuck. Awesome and delightful how the creators of the game managed to find so many different ideas to challenge the player, even though the same idea throughout would still have made the game so wonderful! Super how they managed to put a game like this on computer - very, very admirable, indeed. Much respect and gratitude for this game!
Oh, how cute those birds are! This game is simpler than other physics based games where you need to manipulate diferent objects to achieve a desired effect. Here you just need to move the bird along the wire to position him for collecting stars, avoiding obstacles and uniting with his lady love. It became addicting very quickly, but be warned, expect your wrist to ache. I will defintely consider purchasing to play in small instalments as is it just so cute.
Fun, challenging game, but not too challenging, ok, sometimes it is. This is a great hand/eye coordination and timing game where you have to guide the Birdy through a maze of obstacles. Really lots of fun slinging the Birdy through sharp objects, fending off nasty clouds and riding the bubbles up to the top to meet his love. Good thing Birdy has many lives as some of the levels get tough, but always lots of fun. This game can be addictive, and replay value good to try to make all excellent scores. Unlike other reviewers, my hand did not cramp up and I am on the older side. I enjoyed the music as it became a meditative background, but it can be turned off if it is not agreeable.
This is a great game for all who try it. The angles needed to collect the stars can be hard at first but they can be collected. The cramps in the hands and forearms that others have talked about I think are worth it to be able to play this game.
Brilliant little game this. Originally a Mac app I believe. VERY addicitive though I gaily sailed through several levels before realising there's a secret in each level which meant I simply had to go back and play them again! ;) No hardship there. Music gets a bit boring but can be turned off in options. Challenging enough to make you go back for more without being too frustrating. Let's have more like this.
This is a cute little platform jumping game for kids or big kids at heart, just not for me. Birdy and his girlfriend want to be together. Are you UP to getting Birdy UP? The birds are adorable! It was fun playing, but a little frustrating getting the hang of jumping. I'm NOT good at these types of games. Definitely challenging and it got harder as it went along, as the platforms were in increasingly awkward positions to jump to. This would be a great app for a tablet or iPhone too!
Im a senior and didn't have a problem with "cramping". This is a really cute game and it is challenging you do have to have good aim, (I guess going to the pistol range helps). The only thing I didn't care for was you had to start again at the beginning when you "knocked" the bird out. I think it would have been better to start at the rope you "knocked" her out. But all in all this is a good game. I never listen to any music for any game; I am rating on visual more then sound. I believe you will have fun playing this game.
As the other reviewers have said, this is a game in which your hand is prone to cramping! Those of us with older hands may not enjoy it nearly as much as younger people would. Overall, though, the game is cute, the birds are adorable, and even the music is fine.
This is the game I bought which I probably play the least. Why? Because although it is great fun to play, quite difficult and challenging at times, and almost unbearably cute, there is one HUGE drawback: the slightest mistake and you have to return to the beginning of the level and start again, including that "oh so tricky" middle bit that always trips you up. Now it's one thing in a strategy/tower defence game to enforce a level restart - you kind of expect it. But it shouldn't be a factor in a physics-based game like this, as people have different capabilities, and certain moves may be quite beyond them. There should have been checkpoints built in so you'd return to those instead. Poor design...
